   Proposal Description:
   Many animals studies have shown that leukotriene receptor antagonists (LTRAs) are effective in the treatment and prevention of AD, however, there is little evidence supporting the neuroprotective effects of LTRAs in humans. We would like to explore the relationship between the use of LTRAs and cognitive outcomes in participants with normal cognition, MCI, and AD. In our analyses, users and non-users in each group will be compared for outcomes across different cognitive domains. We hypothesize that use of LTRAs will be associated with slower cognitive decline.
